Plot Overview

1. Setting: The story begins in 1952 in a Konkan village and later shifts to Pune.
2. Protagonist: Bittu, a timid hairdresser, becomes involved in the legend of Munjya, a malevolent spirit.
3. Munjya: Originates from a boy named Gotya who becomes a spirit after a failed attempt at black magic.
4. Conflict: Bittu becomes possessed by Munjya, who aims to marry and sacrifice Bela, Bittu’s love interest.
5. Resolution: Bittu, with the help of his cousin Spielberg and an exorcist named Elvis, ultimately traps Munjya’s spirit in a tree and burns it.
6. Ending: Bittu confesses his feelings to Bela; however, hints suggest that Munjya may still be alive.
